Our Smart Classroom is a hub of modern teaching and learning, specifically designed to prepare teacher trainees for the digital era of education. Equipped with interactive boards, projectors, internet access, and audio-visual tools, it allows trainees to practice and deliver tech-enabled lessons. Through the use of multimedia presentations, online resources, and interactive teaching methods, trainees gain hands-on experience in managing a 21st-century classroom.
The Computer Lab at Mata Harki Devi College of Education for Women empowers teacher trainees with essential digital literacy and ICT skills. The lab features modern computers, high-speed internet, and educational software that supports lesson planning, digital content creation, and research. Trainees learn to integrate technology into pedagogy, preparing them for computer-assisted instruction and virtual classroom environments.
Creativity is key to effective teaching. Our Arts & Craft Lab provides teacher trainees with a space to explore and express their artistic abilities. Equipped with drawing, painting, and craft materials, the lab encourages the creation of teaching aids, charts, models, and classroom decorations. Trainees learn how to incorporate visual and tactile elements into lessons, making learning more engaging for school children.
The Mathematics Method Lab is a hands-on learning space where trainees explore mathematical concepts through models, games, and teaching aids. It helps future teachers develop effective ways to explain abstract topics, enhance student understanding, and make math enjoyable and interactive in classrooms.
The Social Studies Method Lab provides resources such as maps, globes, historical models, and cultural artifacts. Teacher trainees learn to plan interactive lessons that connect social science theories with real-world issues. The lab fosters skills in storytelling, map reading, and project-based learning that make social studies classes more meaningful.
Our Science Method Lab allows teacher trainees to conduct experiments and demonstrations related to Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. With essential laboratory equipment, models, and charts, the lab supports experiential learning. Trainees gain confidence in handling scientific tools and conducting classroom experiments safely and effectively.
The Psychology Lab offers teacher trainees a platform to understand the mental and emotional development of learners. Equipped with psychological testing tools, assessment kits, and observation materials, trainees explore concepts such as learning styles, memory, motivation, intelligence, and behavior. This lab experience helps future teachers adapt their teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Language proficiency is crucial for effective teaching. Our Language Lab helps teacher trainees develop communication skills, correct pronunciation, and fluency in English and other languages. Through audio-visual tools, listening exercises, and spoken practice, trainees improve their ability to teach language and use it as a medium of instruction confidently in the classroom.
The college came into existence in 2006 with the initial intake of 100 students under the Presidentship of Ch. Bharat Singh. In 2007-08 the intake was increased to 200.
