In the heart of Odhan, where the golden fields of Haryana met the aspirations of its people, stands Mata Harki Devi College of Education for Women – a beacon of hope, empowerment and academic brilliance. Since its inception in 2006, the college has blossomed into a center of academic excellence, nurturing generations of educated, confident and socially responsible women.
Established in the revered memory of Late Smt. Harki Devi, devoted wife of Late Sh. Chaudhary Devi Lal ji Chautala, former CM of Haryana and a visionary leader, the college reflects a profound commitment to societal progress. It was more than just an institution: it became a movement to challenge barriers, rewrite traditions and create lasting opportunities for young women in rural Haryana.
With dedicated faculty, a student centric approach, and state of the art facilities, the college stands today not just as an academic institution but as a testament to transformative power of education. It has become a sanctuary of learning, leadership and liberty- rooted deeply in values of equality, integrity, and service.
The college came into existence in 2006 with the initial intake of 100 students under the Presidentship of Ch. Bharat Singh. In 2007-08 the intake was increased to 200.
