ELIGIBILITY FOR D.ED
A. The admission will be open to bonafide residents of Haryana only.
B. The minimum Educational Qualification for Admission to these courses is as follows:-
(i) Diploma-in-Education(D.Ed)
A candidate should have passed Graduation Examination with English as one of the optional/elective subject from any recognized University.
(ii) Diploma-in-Education(Urdu):D.Ed.(Urdu)
In addition to the qualification prescribed as at (i) above for Diploma in Education ( D.Ed) the candidate should have passed Urdu in Secondary (10th class) Examination from the Board of School Education Haryana, or any other Board having equivalency of their examination with the Board of School Education Haryana Bhiwani.
Note:-
1- For seeking admission in D,Ed (Urdu) an additional test of Urdu language consisting of 30 marks of verify knowledge of Urdu will also be conducted along with Entrance test. The candidates will have to obtain at least 33% marks for qualifying the Urdu test and in case the candidate fails to secure at least 33 % marks in Urdu test. He/she will not be considered for admission. However, the marks secured in Urdu will not be taken into account for the purpose of determining the merit.
2- A candidate having higher qualification will not be entitled to any additional benefit whatsoever and he/she will have to fulfil the requisite prescribed qualification and other eligibility conditions.
3- If a candidate wishes to be considered for both the courses, he/she may indicate that on the application form in the specified column.
C. Age for Admission.
Minimum and upper age limit for admission to D.Ed/D.Ed (Urdu) Courses will be 18 years and 36 years respectively. Upper age is relaxable by five years in case of S.C. & B.C. candidates.
Note:-
(i) The qualification for determining the eligibility of a candidate for admission shall be considered as on the date of verification of original documents at the time of admission/ counselling.
(ii) Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination and whose result has not yet been declared may also apply. However, they will only be considered for admission on merit provided they fulfill the requisite/prescribed qualifications etc. at the time of verification of original certificates/document on the date of admission/counseling.
RESERVATION:-
Reservation in different categories will be made as per Haryana Govt. instructions issued from time to time. However, reservation to different categories will be given as under :-
1) Scheduled Castes 20% ( The reservation regarding SC category is not to be bifurcated as per to be bifurcated as per decision of Hon’ble High Court)
2) Backward Classes 16% ‘A’ Block 11% ‘B’ Block
3) Physically Handicapped 3% (for Orthopaedically handicapped)
Note:In case the quota reserved for physically handicapped remains unutilized due to non availability of suitable & eligible handicapped candidates, it will be offered to the ex-servicemen and their wards (1%) and the dependents of freedom fighters (1%)
4) 1% Horizontal reservation would also be given to windows/legally deserted/legally divorced women.
Note:
- A candidate belonging to Reserve Category should clearly mention the category he/she belongs to so the he/she could be given the benefit of reservation as per Haryana Govt. instructions issued from time to time.
- A candidate belong to reserve category will first be considered in open (General) category. In case he/she is not selected in open (General) category. He/she will then be considered for reserve category in the relative merit of that category to which he/she belongs.
- Children or grand children (Maternal or Paternal ) claiming the benefit of freedom fighter will have to produce the certificate of freedom fighter of Haryana State to be issued by the Chief Secretary Haryana and also produce the relationship certificate from the Deputy Commissioner of the district concerned.
- The entitlement of reservation towards ex-servicemen would be available to one dependent child. The candidate belonging to this category should submit a fresh certificate to this effect from Secretary, Soldiers Board of the District they belong to and an affidavit from the father of the candidate to this effect.
- For the purpose of reservation backward classes have been put in two categories i.e. Block A and Block B
- The benefit of reservation shall not apply to socially advanced persons/sections (creamy layer) from Back-ward classes as per Haryana Govt. instructions. The parents of the candidate shall have to furnish as affidavit that he/she is not covered under the criterion of creamy layer.
5) Five seats as village seats (VS) are available in each of the following DIETs/GETTIs for the candidates who permanently belong to the village where these are located and whose Panchayats have donated land/building for the Institute as per Govt. policy.

Mohra (Ambala), Birhikalan (Bhiwani), Madina ( Rohtak) Ding (Sirsa), Beeswanmeel Budh Malik (Sonepat), Shahpur (Karnal), Mattarshyam (Hissar) Ikkus (Jind) Pali (Faridabad) and Palwal ( Kurukshetra) Husainpur ( Rewari) , Tejli (Yamuna Nagar )
GETTIs:-
Dharla at Morni (Panchkula) and Ferozepur Namak ( Mewat)
Note:
The candidates for five village seats will be considered only if they fulfill the eligibility conditions and also qualify in the combined entrance test. They will be considered for admission strictly in order of merit in the Entrance Test.
